Here is our early Christmas presents!!
The Argyle Fire District has received a grant from the FEMA Assistance to Firefighter Grant (AFG). In this grant that was awarded the Argyle Fire District has received three complete sets of extrication equipment.
These sets include Amkus 3 battery-operated cutters, 3 battery-operated spreaders, 3 sets of Res-Q-Jacks complete with chains, straps, and hooks, 3 Dewalt battery-operated demo saws, Dewalt reciprocating saws, 3 sets of cribbing, and 3 sets of airbags.
These tools will be dispersed between our three stations. Station 91 is located at 67 Fire Department Avenue, Station 92 is located at 9298 Hwy 280 E, and Station 93 is located at 2548 Hwy 83 N.
This is the first time Argyle has received a grant for extrication equipment from the AFG. These tools will help save lives and property. With these tools being battery powered they will cut down the amount of time it takes to pull out a power unit crank it and hook up hoses. With just a click of a button, these tools will be ready to go to work. One of the new features is LED lights that are in the handle to have more visibility at night. These Amkus tools are some of the newest state-of-the-art technology.
We cannot thank Robert Wragg and the people at Central Alabama Training Solutions enough for their commitment
to bring us exceptional equipment!
